Mum said she was designing the fucking dance concert costumes, and I asked her to promise me that there would be no glitter coming into the house, which she agreed to.
Weeks later she’s sewing stuff, against what she said she was doing. Which was okay, because it was just material, no glitter.
THEN, she brought home this roll of material, which she claimed to “not be glitter”. One rub of your hand over it, and it came out more sparkly than that Taylor Launtner poof’s face.
A little later, it was somehow a ‘good idea’ to put one of these items through the wash, leaving glitter galore in the washing machine, meaning that ANYTHING that went through the wash came out covered.

Glitter.
Hello, Again.
Long time no see. I honestly haven’t had any time at all to write anything.
Not that there’s been much to write about. I’ve added another 4tb of storage to my collection since my last post, stalked the Apple Store in Perth, continued working on enVisage and just generally been cool!
I’m going to try and have some awesome stuff happen in the next few days so I actually have something I can write about. But until that happens, feel free to follow me, @adam_d on Twitter
Been a while
Well the title says it all.
Not much has happened, hence the lack of posts.
enVisage is progressing nicely, Go! is doing quite nicely also the super top secret is going sweet. Minus the huge bug causing the script to send out about 40 HTTP requests for the same thing within milliseconds of each other. It’s quite annoying and does seem to cause certain browsers to crash :(
Anyway, I’m off to bed now.. Talk soon :)
Car :(
Well, today on my way to get lunch I had an accident, no not in my pants but with my car.. I’ll add more to this tonight when I’m at home, but a few of you have asked for pictures, so as promised here they are.
Toggle All Checkboxes
Sometimes when you’re working on a website or web app, you need to be able to have a way to check or uncheck all of the checkboxes on a page. And then there’s times you need to only modify a certain group of them. While working on enVisage, I came across this problem and with a little bit of JavaScript, and the help of the JQuery scripting, I wrote this function.

UNAPPROVED.
Okay, so lets just jump right into today. We’ll go through the boring bits first, because what happened AFTER work is the bit that I’m really here to blog about.
Work was awesome. I had very little problems, in fact I went to a client and the issue they reported had resolved itself the second I touched the computer. FANTASTIC! Less work for me means happy me. So yeah, the day was pretty much 99% smooth sailing, with only a few little waves that I was easily able to power over.
Now for where stuff actually started to happen in my day…
*BEEP* YOU, *BEEP* YOU VERY MUCH
Tonight’s blog post, sponsored by… err, we have no sponsors. Crap, that throws that one out the window.. moving right along…
Anyway, today was a pretty alright day. Trees and debris were everywhere. It’s almost like we had a cyclone yesterday. Quite amazing if you ask me.
Speaking of cyclone, my car has a dent in the bonnet. It’s not a HUGE dent, so I’m not going to chase it up with the insurance barsteds brokers :) But if it looks worse in daylight, I might do so. After all, I pay them money to do nothing.
What else happened today? Ahh, that client with the virus that I’ve been cleaning up for the last few days, that’s almost sorted. All of the computers that I knew of that were infected have since been cleaned up. This leads me to think that there are no more machines in the place infected, but the next few days will let me know. I also got lead around in a circle by a client who wanted me to pick up a machine on Friday (who weren’t there then, and neglected to tell me such) then decided that they wanted to keep said machine until this afternoon. I’m working on it now, and it’s already failed data migration once.. giving it another shot now. The HDD doesn’t sound like the healthiest; it has this stupidly annoying HIIIIIIIIIIII noise.. It’s hard to put words to what it sounds like but I’m sure everyone’s heard it before.
In other news, it turns out that my mum has something against me. Nothing I do ever seems to be “right”. I do this, I get yelled at, I do that, I get yelled at. I don’t know what it is that she has against me and it’s not just me; she’s giving the silent treatment to her parents because they dislike who my sisters are “going out” with.. But at least with them, we know a reason why she is “disliking” them. Everyone is entitled to an opinion mum, everyone – regardless of their position in the world. And also, I’d *really* appreciate if we didn’t have to put up with your glitter covered material in the house. I understand that you’re only sewing costumes so the girls can “pay” for theirs in their dance concert, but seriously, all they ever seem to do is go to work for 2 hrs every few days and go to dancing (which they also call “work” but don’t get paid for). In any other time, you can find them on FaceBook. Make them go and get a real job, and if they can’t find one, then too bad. No concert for you. And as a side note, I’ve had enough hearing about all the bitching that goes on with this dance school. Seriously, if it’s that bad, quit and stop, or quit and find another. Gah.
Mum and Dad are constantly annoying me about me being on my computer(s) all the time. Sure, I understand that you might want me to spend time with you guys, but the only thing you guys ever do when I spend time with you, is watch home renovation shows, “Blue Heelers” (which I’ll admit I don’t mind) or some crap show on Disney Channel. I prefer a variety of shows IF I’m going to watch TV. That’s why I have a HDD of my favourite shows, so I can watch them on demand with no ads. Yay for digital content. But seriously, I’m actually productive on my computer, rather than just sitting down watching pixels fly around on a screen (ala TV).
That’s pretty much my day summed up.
Random fact about me of the day: This is a new thing I’m going to try and do every post.. just as a way of letting you know just that bit more about me that you probably never knew. Today’s fact; When I graduated primary school, I weighed an epic 27kg.
DATS DE JOEK.
Today’s joke of the day:
How are cyclones and ex-wives similar?
They scream when they’re ‘acomin, and they take everything when they leave!
I survived the great storm of Perth 22/03/2010!
Well, today, devastation ravaged across the quiet town of Perth as huge golf balls the size of hail (yeah, you heard me) spawned like devils from the sky, reeking havoc on anything that fell in their path.
Okay, maybe a little exaggerated, but still, it took me 2 hours to get home…
The city was covered in waters of flash floods, lit up by lightning, and being swept away by gale force winds.
This article pretty much sums it up.
Comments from users on FaceBook summed it up even better…
i thought 2012 came early
Cars were damaged and left stranded, while UWA looked like Hogwarts.
There’s already a dedicated FaceBook group for uploading your photos from the event.
Other stuff happened today, but I’ll talk about it tomorrow :D
Did my brain explode?
Today was a pretty good day. Scratch that, it was awesome. After waking up at a very crusy 11am, Dad and I decided to go for a bike ride to Freo. I think we left around 2:30/3pm. Either way, I’m not sure and it doesn’t matter, because our bike ride landed both of us sore arses. Yeah I know, I’m charming. Talking about butts and it’s only paragraph #2. Anyway, we ended up hitting our pool and putting the spa on. Damn that was refreshing. I was in pain, but it was good. Because that really makes sense.
Had lasagna for dinner, drank a bottle of Vodka with chocmilk (one of the few beverages that I can drink containing alcohol, and that leads me to now. It’s 12:33am… and I’m still awake with a HUGE whopping headache. I’m also not really looking forward to tomorrow. One of our clients has a virus on their computers and I cant seem to get rid of it.
